ROCKWOOD FARM COTTAGE

Nestled in the grassy farmlands of the KwaZulu Natal, Midlands, Rockwood Farm Cottage accommodates up to four adults in two beautifully decorated bedrooms with uninterrupted views. The cottage is less than two hours from Durban and less than five hours from Gauteng making it an ideal destination for couples, small families or overnight travellers.

The cottage can accommodate up to 4 guests in 2 bedrooms both with en-suite bathrooms. The King bedroom has a bath and outdoor shower, and the Twin bedroom has an indoor shower and bath. All towels, linen, soaps and shampoo are provided for your convenience.

The lounge and kitchen are open plan with a wood burning fireplace and doors onto a covered veranda with a Big Green Egg and magnificent views of Spitzkop Farm and the Karkloof Forest. Basic condiments like sugar, milk, cooking oil, and spices are provided, as well as firewood, firelighters and charcoal.

For the outdoor enthusiast, Rockwood has over 30km of worldclass and well-maintained trails for walking, hiking, running and mountain biking across grasslands, over streams and through the lush indigenous forest of the Karkloof Nature Reserve. Guests have access to a play area with jungle gym and trampoline. Keep up with sport on TV, enjoy ball games on the lawn, card and board games indoors or simply relax on the veranda. On colder evenings, feel at home in front of a warm fireplaces.

For large gatherings of up to twelve people, Rockwood Farm House can be rented together with Rockwood Farm Cottage as the units are less than 50m apart. The units border the Karkloof Nature Reserve and the closest town is Howick with numerous shopping options and restaurants.
